Beaches

The short north-west coast of Malta offers three of Malta's finest sandy beaches in the vicinity of the attractive village of Mgarr (not to be confused with Mgarr in Gozo), each with its own unique character.

Golden Bay

Golden Bay is undoubtedly the busiest of the three beaches. It offers a fine sandy beach, shallow bay, water sports, several cafes and first class facilities. It is overlooked by the Raddison Golden Sands, one of Malta's premier hotels.

Ghajn Tuffieha

Ghajn Tuffieha is possibly the most beautiful and spectacular beach in Malta. Accessible only via a long flight of steps or a long, winding path, it is overlooked by towering cliffs and is in the middle of a protected are of natural beauty. There is one small kiosk with toilets.
